PARIS—Called “Bloody Monday,” May 6, 1968, marks one of the most violent days of the Parisian student revolt, which was supported by the student union and instructors’ union and later joined by workers’ unions. At least 10,000 students marched through the Latin Quarter as conflict with the police turned into all-night riots.
